DESCRIPTION:The Diagnostic Error in Medicine 8th International Conference 27-29 September 2015 will take place at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center just outside Washington\, D.C. Our theme this year is After the IOM Report: What’s Next?\, and the program has been approved for 20.75 credit hours through Stony Brook. \nIn 2015\, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) report on diagnostic error will bring increased attention to diagnostic error. The new report will outline the scope of this issue\, identify barriers for solving the problem\, and offer recommendations for various audiences on how to reduce diagnostic error. The Diagnostic Error in Medicine International Conference will ensure a timely discourse on the subject by featuring experts who presented to the committee as well as members of the committee itself.
