DESCRIPTION:The 5th Annual Las Vegas Sickle Cell Walk\nSeptember 24\, 2022 \nDreamsickle Kids Foundation 5th Annual Las Vegas Sickle Cell Walk\, this event is the only fundraiser we have to raise money and awareness for patients in Nevada affected with Sickle Cell Disease. Sickle Cell Disease is a rare genetic blood disorder that primarily affects those of African descent. There are 100\,000 Americans living with Sickle Cell and 1000 of them reside in Nevada. The Las Vegas Sickle Cell walk is intended to raise funds to support those patients\, families\, and caregivers impacted by Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) with financial support such as transportation assistance\, prescription copayment assistance\, rental and utility assistance\, dental assistance for adults\, food assistance through our outreach and state of the art pantry in our community center\, The Aspiration Center\, scholarships for patients\, their families pursuing advanced education\, and also  medical and public health students studying in fields such as hematology/ oncology\, rare diseases and the health disparities which affect marginalized communities.
