National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) is a division of the NIH, located in Bethesda MD.
On Friday June 30th they will have an all day program to discuss translational science- the process for incorporating and utilizing the findings of basic research to improve the lives of patients. The purpose of the day is to improve patient input in the process.
The stated event goals are:
- Identify patient needs
- Align needs with patient community engagement activities and NCATS programs
- Identify gaps
- Brainstorm improvements and solutions
