Have Homocystinuria and Need Help Affording Your Medical Bills?

Treatment is expensive. The HealthWell Foundation gets it, and they’re here to help.

Insurance companies don’t want to pay more than they have to for your medicine. It’s the nature of the game. But with the ever-rising costs of treatments, it’s absurd to expect the average American family to be able to afford the care they need.

Plus, most people don’t think about the extra costs that come with living with a diseases like homocystinuria.

You often have to eat very specific—sometimes expensive—foods in order to maintain the diet that your body responds best to. You have to travel to your appointments and, don’t forget, pay for them. There always seems to be another lab you have to get done, and we can’t leave out the costs of simply operating as a normal human being.

Living with a rare disease TRIPLES the costs necessary to fund a life without one.

The HealthWell Foundation is a nonprofit established in 2003, dedicated to making life easier for people like you. They’ve helped patients around the country get access to the treatments they need. They recognize that the coverage you get varies tremendously, depending on the state you live in and the illness you have. So far, they’ve been able to help patients affected by 50 different diseases. But they’re ready to make it 51.

Now, in conjunction with the HCU Network of America, the HealthWell Foundation is providing their services to homocystinuria patients.

They are offering up to 5,000 in assistance to individuals who qualify. Both co-payment and premium assistance is available for those eligible individuals.

We know you’ve got enough on your plate already; contact the HealthWell Foundation today to see if they can help, and read more about the program here.
