Cystinosis is most often diagnosed before the age of two.
Through medical advances over the last 20 years the prognosis for those with cystinosis has improved. Now more and more children are living in to adulthood. This can and will keep improving– the more people who are aware, the faster better treatments and maybe even a cure can be found!
