In the “As If Chipotle Didn’t Have Enough Problems Department,” they allegedly just did another scummy thing.
So here’s the Chipotle Edition of How To Make An Enemy Of The POTS Community In Just 5 Days:
- When one of your managers discloses that his wife’s just received a POTS diagnosis and he has to take 4 days of sick leave off to be with her, fire him on the 5th day after he discloses that, being a good, caring husband, it’s necessary for him to take additional time off to care for said wife.
The case was filed in Pennsylvania and the former manager is alleging that Chipotle was in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act by firing him rather than acting humanely.
Now…it’s a he said/they said situation and even a ginormous corporate entity deserves to be innocent until proven guilty. But I wouldn’t want to be in charge of PR for Chipotle these days!
