Anyone thinking of unsolicited advice they’ve been given, from people who don’t understand their illness? 9 times out of 10 chronically ill patients don’t want to hear what you think worked on your cousin’s friend that they read online somewhere. 9 times out of 10 from patient to patient or from friend to patient the best thing to say is a reminder that you’re there for them, and that you’re willing to listen.
