5 Reasons Why This New HoFH Drug Will Have You Jumping for Joy

If you’ve been suffering from high cholesterol with dismally low-density lipoprotein (LDL) scores, here’s some breaking news that could save your life! The FDA has announced the approval of a new treatment called Repatha (evolocumab). Administered by injection, it’s indicated for a variety of high cholesterol conditions including HeFH and HoFH which are genetic.

So with that in mind, here are 5 reasons to celebrate!

Although the high cholesterol HoFH patients face isn’t usually caused by obesity or lack of dietary control, when it goes down, your friends don’t have to know that :).

When people hear you have “high cholesterol” they  can suddenly stiffen up and think you can’t go anywhere because all foods will cause you death or something. Even though your close friends and family know the truth, it’s hard for some people to understand you can still eat.

4. You’ll be more productive at work!

We don’t need research to back this up. More time spent away from the M.D.’s room = more time to live the life you want.

We know big pharma likes to give us promises about the latest developments, but all we can do is hope this is the real deal for all the FH patients out there. Share this breakthrough to your friends with a social button below.
