Fishing Tournament to Raise Money for Transverse Myelitis on May 6, 2017 in Alabama

What is the perfect way to spend a Saturday?

Well, if you are a fishing enthusiast and enjoy raising money for a cause I have the perfect event for you. If you are local and near the Columbiana, Alabama area, you can help raise funds for transverse myelitis.

Transverse myelitis is a rare disease of the spinal cord. It causes extreme pain and fatigue. Also, it can have an affect a person’s muscle usage.

The event is the Mike L. Jezdimir Transverse Myelitis Foundation’s 5th annual bass tournament  Saturday, May 6th from sunrise to 3 p.m. The event is located at Shelby County’s Beeswax Creek boat ramp.

The address is 245 Beeswax Park Road in Columbiana, AL 35051.

The winner of the tournament will receive $1,000. Second through fourth place will receive a monetary prize, which will be determined at the event. There is a $100 entry fee for each person to participate. All proceeds will go directly to the Foundation, which aims to find a cure in addition to finding ways to prevent transverse myelitis as well as multiple sclerosis.
