CureDuchenne is hosting several free events in 2026 to support families living with Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy. These events, called CureDuchenne CARES, will take place across the country. At these workshops, you can meet with doctors and experts to learn about the latest treatments, physical therapy tips, and new research. The events include free meals, help with translation, and even help with hotel costs for those who qualify. There are also smaller dinner meetings focused on mental health and connecting with other caregivers who understand what you are going through.
In May, the FUTURES National Conference will be held in Orlando, Florida. This large gathering offers sessions on everything from life skills to new scientific breakthroughs, including a special program for Spanish speakers. It’s not all business, though—families can also enjoy fun activities like swimming with dolphins at Discovery Cove. These events are designed to give you the information you need and a community that supports you every step of the way.
