According to PRNewswire, Beverly Hills and Frankfurt based INFUSIO donated $5,000 each of their patient’s Lyme disease treatment in May. Interest in the program was high. As a result, INFUSIO decided to extend the offer until the end of June. Keep reading to learn more, or follow the original story here for additional details.
Lyme disease, also known as Lyme borreliosis, is an infectious disease resulting from tick bites. When the bacterial disease is recognized and treated early, it is referred to as acute Lyme disease. If this acute infection goes undiagnosed or is treated incorrectly, the infection may become chronic. Common symptoms include fever, chills, and other flu-like symptoms, as well as other symptoms somewhat similar to chronic fatigue syndrome, Parkinson’s, and ALS.

INFUSIO provides relief in the form of a 12-month treatment program. Since 2011, the INFUSIO program provided treatment for at least 600 patients. The treatment consists of a combination of “…traditional European medicine, integrative medicine, and cutting-edge science…” The goal is to rebuild the patient’s immune system.
INFUSIO’s Integrative Lyme Program begins with a 2-week treatment period at the INFUSIO treatment center. For the remaining period of treatment, patient’s receive therapy monthly at home.
The core of INFUSIO’s treatment and philosophy originates with Phillip Battiade. Battiade boasts twenty years of experience in the fields of cellular therapy and Lyme disease treatment. His “Five Steps to Health” (Immune Modulation, Substitution, Detoxification, Disease-Specific Treatment, and Mind-Body Medicine) are the basis of the INFUSIO program.
To this effect, Battiade established INFUSIO less like a clinic or hospital, and more like a spa. INFUSIO aims to be a place “specifically designed for wellness.”
Battiade is not, however, alone in this endeavor. Dr. Suzzane Kim, a board-certified doctor, is also an important member of the team. Dr. Kim specializes in a specialized cell therapy known as Stromal Vascular Fraction and has many years of experience treating Lyme disease.
INFUSIO hopes that their continued donations towards patient treatment will help to raise awareness for Lyme disease, to assist those patients in need, and to prevent further spread of tick-borne illness.
