Watch: HelloFresh Ad Centers on Woman With Multiple Sclerosis

Patient Worthy exists because there’s just not enough visibility for the nearly 30 million Americans who have been diagnosed with disorders that are rare or have limited treatment options.

So when a rare disease peeks into the mainstream – even if it’s just a commercial! – it’s worth celebrating it.

HelloFresh, the popular meal-kit delivery service company, released an ad earlier this year featuring Tre, a woman living with multiple sclerosis (MS).

Multiple sclerosis is a neurological disorder that affects the communication between the brain and the rest of the body. All parts of the body may be affected; in particular, muscles in the extremities and the eyes are most commonly involved.

According to ispot.tv, the ad has been shown more than 600 times on U.S. TV channels in its first month! It has a very high “viewer engagement” rating, and 75% of viewers came away with a positive feeling about the ad.

So check out the short ad and show some love! We should encourage all media to reflect all of America, and that includes those who live with a disease.
