now dancing away to all the music she loves.

Adalia’s family has asked for privacy while grieving. However, they have also shared some additional information on her Instagram page. The funeral will take place on January 23, 2022 at the Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home in Austin, TX. If you would like to send flowers or condolences, you may send them directly to the funeral home. About Progeria

LMNA gene mutations cause progeria, an extremely rare genetic disease characterized by features that resemble premature aging. Overall, these mutations (which usually occur by chance) cause unstable cell nuclei, leading to premature aging. In many cases, diagnosis occurs around 2 years old though it can occur earlier, as in Adalia’s case. Symptoms and characteristics include:

  • Failure to thrive
  • Thin lips and nose
  • Prominent eyes
  • Aged-looking skin
  • Hair loss
  • Joint abnormalities
  • Arterial hardening
  • Heart problems
