The National Kidney Foundation honors 75 Years of Advocacy

In honor of Kidney Awareness Month, we would like to congratulate the National Kidney Foundation on celebrating 75 years as an organization fighting against kidney disease and for kidney disease patients.  Established in 1950, the NKF has spent three quarters of the last century funding research to combat kidney disease and cancer, and advocating for patient rights concerning treatment, care inequities, and health insurance coverage.

In recognizing their accomplishments and impact over 75 years, NKF launched the “75+You” campaign to create significant change for the approximate 75 million people worldwide who will be affected by kidney disease in 2030.  The program focuses on prevention, treatment and access to transplants.
