Watch: “Jeopardy!” Icon Alex Trebek Announces His Pancreatic Cancer Diagnosis

 

“…just like 50,000 other people in the United States each year, this week I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.”

Alex Trebek – who has has hosted the iconic television game show “Jeopardy!” since 1984 – announced yesterday via video that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

According to the American Cancer Society, this rare cancer has a 5-year survival rate of 9%.

While he recognizes the tough odds, Mr. Trebek is clear eyed about his fight moving forward and even displays his signature wit.
