Acromegaly.care will be hosting an acromegaly patient webinar on Wednesday, March 16 from 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. EST.
The webinar will feature acromegaly patient Casey, and research coordinator Lisa Mitchell from Western Endocrine. Together they will discuss managing acromegaly as a chronic condition, including coping mechanisms and key strategies frequently used by patients in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle with acromegaly.
Casey was diagnosed with acromegaly in 2001 after his wife, who was in dental hygiene school at the time, associated his symptoms with what she was learning in class.
Today, Casey is Vice President of the Acromegaly Community and is passionate about supporting other people with acromegaly and showing them it can be a manageable chronic condition. Lisa Mitchell, MA, is a research coordinator at Western Endocrine where she works primarily with James R. Grua, M.D., Ph.D. Lisa has worked with acromegaly patients for 21 years.
