Daylight Savings is Suddenly Sleepy Saturday for Narcolepsy Awareness

In college, everyone loved the “Fall back” night of Daylight Savings Time. We got an extra hour of sleep and it was much needed considering we were likely celebrating Halloween the night before.

During “Spring Forward” however, everyone really felt that lost hour during mid-terms! Excessive sleepiness and daytime drowsiness was prevalent the following Monday in class. But what about people with narcolepsy? They may experience that kind of sleepiness every day.

That’s why we encourage you to participate in Suddenly Sleepy Saturday, AKA Narcolepsy Awareness Day on March 11, 2017.

Awareness of narcolepsy is important for understanding, compassion and research for a cure!
