HAEi,  is an international organization of patient organizations for those affected by  C1-inhibitor deficiencies. During an HAE attack any part of the body can painfully swell.

When this swelling affects the abdomen or the throat, it can be life threatening.  HAE is a rare disorder with no cure. It does have some very effective treatments which are among the most expensive in the world.
