Happy June!—a month dedicated to spreading awareness about myasthenia gravis (MG) and other neuromuscular diseases.
MG affects nearly 20 people in every 100,000 around the world. One of those people is former cancer researcher Erin Kreiter.
Erin was diagnosed with MG in 2013. Due to the effects, she now lives out her days in a wheelchair with assisted breathing and constant medical supervision. While MG certainly put a negative twist on Erin’s life, people are coming to her aid—people like John Gould.
Ever since John received donated bone marrow to save his life, he has been on a mission to pay it forward. As the owner of Dominion Power Washing, John has donated his time and resources to help provide as much comfort as he can for Erin and her family. Two years ago, he managed to raise $10,000 for Erin and her family by offering the services of his company. It’s no surprise that he’s opening up the fund once again.
If you’re interested in what John is offering or simply want to donate to Erin’s family, read the article by the Langley Times here for more information.
Thank the stars for people like John Gould—people who think outside of themselves and pay positivity forward.
