“Sound Bites, An Evening of Food, Wine and Music” is TONIGHT! The event is at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. It begins at 6:00 pm with appetizers and wine tasting. Then they will have a silent and fun live auction to benefit research on tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC).
A combination of recorded music and live music will be played throughout the night. Also, “The Rhythmhancers” drummer and bass guitar player will perform for guests. In addition to providing entertainment, the organization will honor a few instrumental figures in the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance.
Tuberous sclerosis complex is a rare disease that causes tumors to develop in the body’s vital organs. It is the main genetic cause of epilepsy and autism. About 50,000 people in the United States alone live with TSC. Around 1 million people around the world have TSC. Unfortunately, there is not a cure for this condition yet. The Tuberous Sclerosis Alliances was established in 1974. Since then, they have been devoted to finding a cure while continuously supporting those affected by TSC.
