As my colleague James Earnest Cassady covered earlier this week, Wake Up Narcolepsy, or WUN, has been raising funds for narcolepsy research in a pretty spectacular way: They have a team that runs in the Boston Marathon, and 2016 will be its seventh year participating in the world renowned event.
The team has grown steadily with runners from all over the country taking part. #TEAMWUN is currently recruiting, so if you have a snazzy pair of sneakers and the desire to raise money that will go towards finding a cure for narcolepsy, click here. People wearing non-snazzy sneakers are also eligible to participate.
And why wouldn’t you want to join? Since it was founded in 2008, Wake Up Narcolepsy has raised $400,000 for research, and in addition to the Boston Marathon fundraising event, they host other fundraisers throughout the year. They are awesome!
