This Man is Drawing Inspiration from His Atopic Dermatitis Experience

It’s amazing how much we take for granted. Eating. Seeing. Walking.

There are a million and one things that can go wrong with the human body, and until one of those happens to us, we don’t realize how lucky we are.

According to Beach Metro Community News, Matt Coverly has had many medical issues throughout his life. But after some changes in medication, diet, and supplements, he’s doing better. Most spectacularly, he’s able to walk again.

Through his experiences, he’s become increasingly grateful for each individual function of his body. He is filled with enthusiasm and vigor to help those who have been in similar situations as himself.

Matt’s medical issues started when he was only four years old and had a peanut allergy. Since that time he’s experienced:

  • severe eczema,
  • severe allergies,
  • ear infections,
  • and atopic dermatitis.

He’s been treated by various doctors using various prescriptions. Matt has also regularly attended appointments to try to find a treatment that would work. At one appointment with a new doctor, he asked for a refill of his prescription for eczema. It was the first time he was told that drug was also used to treat withdrawal symptoms for opioid addictions.

It made him think about the various side effects and usages of different medications.

He began to do more research himself and started to change his diet, trying to limit the environmental toxins that could be having adverse effects on his body. It made a big difference for him, and he ended up opening his own health food store to help others.

While his diet changes don’t act as a cure, they’ve helped Matt manage his allergies and atopic dermatitis.

He’s feeling better, taking care of his body, and inspiring others to do the same.
