See How Hemophilia Treatment Centers Help Keep Things Normal

  • Hemophilia, Rare Disease

Maybe you’re someone like me who didn’t know what a Hemophilia Treatment Center is or what it does.

I never thought about treatment centers of any type, of course, there wasn’t a need. So, I didn’t think of a place like this as being necessary or special, until I got curious enough to know what purpose a Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) serves. Come to find out, it’s a place that normal people, who just happen to have a bleeding disorder, go to receive help, resources, and treatment.

Looking towards the future, there are dedicated staff members within the bleeding disorder community working on advancements in treatment for the evolving needs of those living with hemophilia.

Hemophilia is a rare bleeding disorder in which the blood doesn’t clot normally. If you have hemophilia, you may bleed for a longer time than others after an injury. You also may bleed inside your body (internally), especially in your knees, ankles, and elbows.

See this video for yourself about the benefits of HTCs. You’ll hear from staff members in treatment centers who are a necessary part of people’s lives with a bleeding disorder and committed to helping them, as much as possible, to have normal lives.

Also, here’s a great source we found on 5 Tips for Healthy Living With Hemophilia to leave you with that could help you, a friend, or a loved one who’s living with a bleeding disorder.

If you’ve discovered something interesting from reading our article, then we’d like to hear about it! After all, sharing is caring!
