My symptoms began in 2001 and within 6 months I went from functionally uncomfortable to disabled to the point that I could barely lift myself out of bed because more than 10 minutes of sitting or standing caused intense spasms and pain above and beyond anything I had ever experienced. The simplest of tasks were unbearable.
