What Does Sex Wax Have To Do With Amyloidosis?

If this makes sense to you, “Hey, look! Some dude on a sponge has wiped out and is going over the falls on a hollow little right!” then you need to head to Ocean City, New Jersey on July 29th to participate in the 13th Annual Chip Miller Surf Fest and support amyloidosis research.

The late Chip Miller was a passionate Corvette enthusiast and a co-founder of Cars at Carlisle, the ginormous classic car event held every year in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He was diagnosed with amyloidosis in 2003 and lost his battle against the disease just three short months later.

The surfing event has grown tremendously since its creation by the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation. It currently draws stoked surfers from around the globe.

The event was recently featured on Surfer magazine’s website, and you can read all about it here.

So grab your sex wax and your towel and go do the wet thing for a good cause!
