Water Balloon Fueled Charity Event To Return Jan. 14th

If you live near Pompano Beach in Florida, the Water Balloon Bulls-eye charity event is not to be missed, reported Sun Sentinel. The event is focused on raising money, as well as awareness, for all invisible diseases, which are described as diseases that are not easily notice with a look. Last year, the event raised over $5,000 and they are hoping to match, if not exceed, the amount this month. Yet, it shouldn’t be hard as people get the thrill of pegging all of their favorite local celebrities from last year (and more) with water balloons. Nothing more exciting than that!

17-year-old high school senior, Kendall Miller, created the event and is proud to support such a cause. When she was in 8th grade she was diagnosed with a type of dysautonomia known as postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), a rare disease in which insufficient blood flow to the heart disrupts the autonomic nervous system. Knowing the process of dealing with a rare disease firsthand, she wanted nothing more than to help others who are going through the same thing.

This Sunday, January 14th from 1-4P everyone in town will be able to come out and support such an amazing cause, while having a blast. The event will take place at the Four Fields complex in Pompano Beach and will consist of fun activities beyond just throwing water balloons. You can compete in corn hole games, eat lunch, drink, enter in raffles and bid during the silent auction. Kendall has done everything herself as far as organization for this event. She reached out to local service clubs, sports teams and schools to gather volunteers and celebrities to make this idea a reality. Thankfully, she received an overwhemling amount of support from her high school, Cardinal Gibbons in Fort Lauderdale, as well as from the Indian Princess program.

Kendall is beyond blessed to have the support of the community and is looking forward to hosting a fun and beneficial event once again!
