When UK cyclist Andrew Beale decided he was going to throw his support behind The Dystonia Society, he didn’t waste time getting sponsors.
With nearly $400 pledged, he was disappointed to learn that the Local Pride event, meant to help raise dystonia awareness, had been cancelled the Friday before it was scheduled to take place.
Andrew didn’t let it get the best of him. After reading an article in his local paper, the Dorset Echo, about a ride to raise funds for cancer research on the very same day, he called that event’s organizer and got the go-ahead to ride the 35-mile course for The Dystonia Society.
David has pledged to do everything he can to make a difference for those with dystonia. His brass band called Brass Tacks, recently gave a free concert for The Dystonia Society. David said that he is appreciative of all the support he’s received in his quest to raise money for this deserving organization.
