Irrfan Khan, Bollywood Actor, Reveals His Rare Disease News

Just yesterday, the incredibly successful actor Irrfan Khan, announced on twitter that he just found out he has a rare disease, reported The Guardian. Khan has appeared in over 100 films, including both Indian and American hits.

Khan expressed his news to his fans and asked for them to not ask any questions as he still has much more to learn in the upcoming days. He was sure to tell everyone that once he receives official diagnosis in the next week up to ten days, he would share with everyone the news.

“The last 15 days, my life has been a suspense story.”

While Khan has been shook my the news, he shared that he has great support from his friends and family. He asks for “best wishes” as more information regarding his rare disease is revealed.

Khan has had a very successful career in the entertainment industry, first starting out in 1988 acting in the Oscar nominated film “Salaam Bombay!”. He’s starred in many Indian hit films including “Paan Singh Tomar”, as well as many hit English films including “The Amazing Spider-Man”, “Slumdog Millionaire”, “Jurassic World”, and last but not least, “Life of Pi”. Many of these films went on to be Oscar nominated.

Not only has he appeared in tons of successful films but he’s taken home some awards too. He has won several domestic awards in 2012 for his acting in the film “Paan Singh Tomar” at the Indian National Film Awards. He also won an award at the yearly Independent Spirit Awards for his supporting performance in the 2006 film, “The Namesake”. Additionally, he took home the award for viewer’s choice at the prestigious Cannes festival for the “The Lunchbox” performance.
